NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF DRAFT SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT AND PUBLIC HEARING/PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON THE
DRAFT SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT AND SITE PLAN FOR THE GRAND ISLAND COMMERCE CENTER
Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 PM on September 20, 2023 at the Grand Island Senior High School, 1100 Ransom Rd, Grand Island, NY 14072, for the purposes of considering the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) and Site Plan applications for the proposed Grand Island Commerce Center (the “Project”), located at 2780 Long Road and 0 Bedell Road, Grand Island, New York, . The applications and DSEIS are available at Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York, or on the Town of Grand Island Website at
https://www.grandislandny.us/266/Current-Projects.
In addition to the public hearing, the Town will accept written comments on the Project until 4 p.m. on October 6, 2023 at the office of the Town Clerk, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York, 14072.
The Town Board has made no decisions on any aspect of the Project. It has determined that the DSEIS is adequate for public review. At the time and place above, all members of the public shall be heard. Following the comment period, the applicant will submit a Draft Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement addressing all comments at the public hearing and received written comments. The Draft Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement
will then be reviewed by the Town Board, Town staff and Town consultants. The Town, as lead agency, is responsible for the adequacy and accuracy of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS), The FSEIS consist of: the draft SEIS, including any necessary revisions and supplements; copies or a summary of the substantive comments received and their sources; and the lead agency's response to the comments. Thereafter a Notice of Completion of the FSEIS will be prepared and the Town publish the FSEIS on the Town website.
